LUMS Learning Institute (LLI) Team Visit to Aror University - Day 1
Activity 1: Pulse check
The LUMS Learning Institute (LLI) team began their three-day visit to Aror University with a Pulse Check Activity conducted with the university’s leadership and the Aror Learning Institute (ALI) staff.
The session opened with a warm welcome from the Vice Chancellor, who shared his thoughts on the growing partnership between the Aror Learning Institute (ALI) and LLI. Director HR, Mr. Shoukat Abbasi, also addressed the participants and highlighted the progress of ALI so far.
The LLI team — including: Dr. Hammad (LLI Director), and Dr. Qasim and Ms Minahil Gillani — attended the session. The workshop was facilitated by Ms. Minahil Gillani, who led an engaging pulse check activity aimed at identifying strengths, areas of improvement, and understanding the teaching and learning culture at Aror University.
Activity 2 – Values Workshop
Following the insightful Pulse Check Activity, the LUMS Learning Institute (LLI) team conducted a Values Workshop as the second session of Day 1. This workshop focused on identifying and defining the core values that will guide the Aror Learning Institute (ALI) as it grows.
Leadership, ALI staff, and faculty members actively participated in meaningful discussions about the values and behaviours that should shape ALI’s culture. The participants reflected on how these values can strengthen teaching and learning practices across Aror University and support ALI’s mission.
This collaborative session built on the momentum of the earlier pulse check, helping align the community around a shared vision for excellence at ALI.
